About the opportunity

 The Human Resources Team at BSL is seeking a suitable experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join their highly skilled team on a full time basis.

 The primary purpose of the role will be to deliver consistent, high quality on boarding, learning, development and assessment initiatives across the site.

Key tasks will include to:

  • Conduct a gap analysis to assess site training needs for all roles on site
  • Work with leaders and Learning and Development team members to develop a consistent approach to learning and development across the site
  • Assist in developing a comprehensive training and development program that meets the needs of all areas and team members
  • Review, develop and enhance the current on boarding process
  • Actively seek to improve site learning and development initiatives
  • Develop, maintain and deliver high quality, consistent training materials
  • Design, create and develop online training materials.
  • Develop learning and development networks
  • Support an inclusive and diverse workforce by maintaining a familiarity with different learning techniques
  • Maintaining relationships with third party training providers

About you

To be considered for this role it is essential that you are able to display evidence of:

  • Experience in the Learning and Development field
  • Training and assessment experience
  • Industrial experience would be well regarded but is not critical
  • You will be able to communicate well with all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and function effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to plan work to meet deadlines
  • A high level of initiative and self-starting
  • A ‘can do’ attitude

 In addition you need to meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience using the Success Factors program will be beneficial
  • SAP systems experience highly desired
  • High degree of proficiency with the Microsoft suite of programs
